Liver Care
Liver care starts with ensuring that the liver has the materials it needs to repair itself. Essentiale contains Essential Phospholipids or EPLs that your liver needs to repair liver cells and support liver function.
What are phospholipids and EPLs?
Phospholipids are the building blocks of liver cell membranes. They are a class of lipids (fats) that serve an extremely important function in our body.
The cell membrane is made up of two layers of phospholipids. It protects the living matter inside the cell from the outside and controls what goes in and out of the cell.
When the cell membrane loses phospholipids, it is said to be damaged and the function of the cell is weakened. Severe damage to the cell membrane can kill the cell.
Your body can produce some types of phospholipids but others must be supplied by your diet. Phospholipids that can only be obtained through dietary intake are called "essential phospholipids".
How Essentiale Works
A liver cell that has lost some of the phospholipids that make up its cell membrane is said to be damaged. Damaged cells may lose some of their vital functions.
A damaged liver cell can be repaired if it can quickly replace the phospholipids its cell membrane has lost.
Essentiale contains 300 mg of essential phospholipds (EPLs). EPL has been shown to help repair damaged liver cell membranes and restore normal cell function*.
